MEASURES TO COMBAT RANSOMWARE (MALWARE) ATTACKS, THE LARGEST & A SERIOUS THREAT (TO INDIA), IN CYBER SECURITY

Abstract

Ransomware (Malware) has been the present and major cyber security threat in India. India has been in bull’s eye of hackers. Hundreds of databases of defense sector, banks, financial institutions, government organizations, healthcare industries, insurance companies, non-government organizations, sensitive customer information of business institutions and individuals are at risk as these might be exposed at any time by hackers. An immediate attention is needed to combat ransomware attacks, by hackers, in order to strengthen and sharpen the teeth of cyber security measures, to make a stronger and protective shield against various kinds of ransomware (malware) attacks on India’s valuable and highly secret data.
