Abstract

The rapid evolution of enterprise IT infrastructure has exposed critical challenges in managing data complexity, particularly the proliferation of ungoverned "data swamps" that undermine scalability and interoperability. This paper proposes Agnostic Informational Architecture (AIA)a technology-agnostic framework emphasizing interoperability, governance, and adaptability — and its practical implementation through the Enterprise Analytical Environment (EAE). The EAE framework enforces governance through modular subsystems (Business Data Hub, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Advanced Analytical Models, and Data Visualization Layer), balancing agility with compliance via persistence strategies (schema-on-write, schema-on-read, ephemeral consumption) and tiered governance segmentation (Data, Information, and Master Data Content Areas). Case studies demonstrate significant reductions in deployment cycles and data silos, emphasizing the importance of governance and agility in modern enterprises. The paper concludes with methodological guidelines for implementing AIA and EAE in heterogeneous IT landscapes and discusses implications for Industry 4.0 readiness.
