DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN BANKING: A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF PLATFORM MODERNIZATION AND PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT

This article examines the comprehensive digital transformation initiative undertaken by a major financial institution to modernize its core banking platform. The transformation encompassed a shift from legacy systems to a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture, resulting in significant improvements across transaction processing, customer service delivery, and regulatory compliance capabilities. By implementing an API-first strategy and advanced security frameworks, the bank achieved notable enhancements in operational efficiency and customer experience while maintaining robust regulatory adherence. This article presents the technical architecture, implementation methodology, and resultant business impacts, providing valuable insights for financial institutions pursuing similar modernization efforts. Through a systematic analysis of the transformation journey, this article demonstrates how strategic technical investments in digital infrastructure can drive substantial improvements in banking operations and service delivery.
